A Praxis II study guide is a great way to prepare for the Educational Testing Services (ETS) Praxis II test, which in many cases will be a requirement of teaching candidates before they can become certified (licensed) and considered for hire as special needs educators. The Praxis II test can be taken after passing a series of Praxis I exams in reading, writing and math.

If the Praxis II test is not passed the first time, it can be retaken. If a teaching student has performed well in her teaching classes, and has passed the first series of Praxis exams, taking one or more Praxis II exams in special education will be an achievable next step.
